To Be a Mother is such a great gift and calling. Although, I am not yet a mother myself, the blessed relationship I have with my own mother from a child growing up in the islands to this very day makes me appreciate the role of a mother dearly.
I adore my mom.
We hear time and time again that we become our mothers and what a beautiful thing it is when we can begin to embrace that statement. Especially when your mother gives you a loving and rich legacy filled with examples of a praying, devoted, caring , diligent lady inside and outside the home. She is accomplished and in every essence a Proverbial woman.
I know the terms I listed above is not the story for everyone. If that is not the case for you, maybe there is someone in your life who has filled that mom role. Someone who is a loving example and nurturing figure you can look up to and appreciate for her investment in you as a mother.
For all the amazing moms out there, here is a free printable download of a Certificate (also perfect for Teacher Appreciation Week) that shares the sentiment I believe to be true of all mothers:

Poem for mom
You Are Absolutely Radiant.
I hope and pray to some day take a walk in your shoes as a mother myself. I know the journey is not easy The task is great before you and as I prepare for that day to come, my hat is off to you for all that you sacrifice and do for the ones you love and those who are blessed to call you mom. You gave birth to a gift from heaven and you are the true gift to the little ones sent from up above.

While I was doing some research on the Mother’s Day gifts out on the internet, I came across this post by Good Housekeeping. As I perused the page and images, emotions began to surface and tears began to roll because I realize just how much the relationship I have with my mom makes me desire to be the kind of mother my mom is to me. A mother who is there to uplift and encourage. As we get older, we draw closer to each other, we understand each other and no matter what is going on in our lives and how busy life gets, our mother-daughter relationship cannot be broken.
Here is a fun little video I made for my mom a few birthdays ago, when I was not all too keen on YouTube but shared all the grand things and adventures with my mom on Facebook. Oh the memories! I am my mom’s 1st child, but when I am with my mom I can be like a child again, nurtured to dream and be all I am called to be.

Scriptures for Mother’s Day
Here are some relevant scriptures that further addresses the value of a mom:
*“Let your father and mother be glad; let her who bore you rejoice.” – Proverbs 23:22-25 *“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.’” – Proverbs 31:28-31 *“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.” – Proverbs 31:25-28 *“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” – 3 John 1:4

Aw I love that certificate! What a great idea and so special to appreciate mom! Those frames are so gorgeous too and give it that extra special touch.
This is such a great idea for Mother’s Day! My mom is an amazing woman and worthy to be celebrated, but I do know that not everyone has that. So glad you addressed that.
Your pictures are so pretty! I always thought you don’t need a super expensive gift to show your mom you love and appreciate her. It’s the effort that you put in it and the idea that matters.
What a beautiful post and dedication to your mom. I love the scriptures included! It is a great reminder of the Proverbs 31 woman, who I hope to become.
Love these heartfelt ideas. My mom passed away when I was 37. Mother’s Day is always a little bittersweet for me. As a mom I always appreciate gifts like the ones you have listed way more than something expensive or meaningless.
Great ideas. I have bookmarked this and will use it for my mothers birthday instead. I love all of them and the pictures are so pretty
