Day 2 · Women of the Bible

Radiant Pearl Living

Sarah

Mother of Nations

Theme: Trusting God’s Promises

Continue the Women of the Bible journey with Sarah—a woman whose long season of waiting teaches us that God’s promises are not limited by our circumstances, age or ability to understand His timing.

The wait does not mean God has forgotten you. What He promises, He is faithful to fulfill in His perfect time.

Day 2 Overview

Meet Sarah

Primary Scripture

Genesis 18:11–14

Defining Word

Hope

Core Truth

God’s promises remain sure even when the waiting feels long and the outcome seems impossible.

“Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”Genesis 18:14, KJV

Her Story

She waited. God remained faithful.

Sarah was the wife of Abraham and was chosen by God to be part of His covenant promise to bless the nations through their family. Yet the promise of a child seemed increasingly impossible as the years passed.

During that long season, Sarah wrestled with doubt, impatience and the temptation to help God’s plan along in her own way. She even laughed when she heard that she would bear a son in her old age.

But Sarah’s uncertainty never changed God’s faithfulness. At the appointed time, she gave birth to Isaac. Her story reminds us that waiting can stretch our faith, but God is never limited by what appears impossible to us.

Write, Reflect and Pray

Today’s reflection

Where can I apply her faith?

What area of your life requires you to keep trusting God even though His promise or answer seems far away?

What is God asking me to do?

What is God calling you to believe, obey or patiently continue doing while you wait for Him to work?

What must I surrender?

What doubt, fear, impatience or need for control do you need to release so you can trust God’s timing?

Prayer for Day 2

Lord, teach me to trust You while I wait.

Thank You that Your promises are always true. When the waiting feels long and I cannot understand Your timing, keep my heart anchored in Your faithfulness. Help me resist the urge to force what only You can fulfill. Strengthen my hope, quiet my fear and teach me to trust Your appointed time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
